Carl,

Just wanted to let you know I am pulling for you and still praying and thinking about you daily. I know I have not seen you in a while, but I hope to see you soon. Things are crazy busy, but again I still think about you daily and I still hold hope buddy! See you soon!

Hey, Stud!

Just wanted to say today I sat in on a meeting of the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) the Californian stem cell program.

The 29 member oversight committee is amazingly dedicated and hard working-- think of 29 Wise Youngs and Patricia Morton and folks very much like your Mom-- dedicated and determined.

We're going to get the job done.

Thanks for being part of the great effort.

best,

Don C. Reed

i just read the message i posted a few days ago and do not want people to get the wrong impression.what has happened to carl as bad as it is,is nothing compared to what millions of families must endure every day. my son is a quadriplegic, which is purely a physical problem .he is still the same person smart, beautiful, oppinionated , living and prospering.

when i hear of the losses of other families i realize how lucky iam. how do people go on when they lose children . i was watching the history channel and saw the story of abraham lincoln ,not only did he have the burden of our country in a civil war, his only living son died two years into his presidency. how did he go on. how could he go on. the only answer is the human spirit is self healing if you let it be.

this story from our past is repeated on a daily basis in every part of the world. how lucky iam my five kids all are with me every day ,making me laugh, worry, happy, sad. today is a tough day but i am greatful that it is nothing compared to what other people have had to endure .the loss of a child.

Carl-

I'm going on the record today as predicting a 4-1 regular season end run for the Cats followed by 2 wins in the Big East Tourney, making our final regular season record 22-11. This should guarantee us a spot in the NCAA Tourney as we will have to have beaten 3 ranked teams in the last 10 games and will be 7-3 in our last 10. No team from a power conference like the Big East has ever been denied a bid with 22 wins. I still say we have a shot and are on the bubble at 21-11, but I think we are no doubt in at 22-11. Plus the committee still will take into account the NC State and Georgetown referee mistake games which would give us potentially another 2 wins.

Anyhow, I am glad McCain is a pro-embrionic stem cell Republican...makes it easier for me to vote for him. The Barak hype is going to come crashing down once he beats Hillary. McCain is the man as between him and Obama. War hero, experience, moderate politics he will run away with it. I guess I'll go on the record with that today too.

Maybe see you at the game tomorrow against UConn?

-McCarey, Danny (speaking of which, did you hear Tommy was going to include that story about Frank Robinson in the book? it got edited out last second, but that would have been funny).

Carl,

Been a while since I have seen you. I got to watch Shane beat the guy on my team but atleast he was only 1 of 2. Looking foward to beating you in fantasy baseball.

See you as soon as possible in person and sure to see you a lot this summer.

Always thinking of you,

Roy da III
