• Sunday, June 6th PILOTS' OPENING DAY TO SPONSOR FUNDRAISER FOR LOCAL AREA STUDENT AT NEW HOME FIELD. The Jersey Pilots of the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League return to North Plainfield, New Jersey after a two year hiatus. They open their home season on Sunday June 6th at 5 pm with a doubleheader against the Stamford Robins. The Pilots will be sponsoring a Fundraiser for the Carl RiccioTrust Fund a local high school wrestler/baseball student athlete who was paralyzed from a wrestling injury. • Saturday, May 15th (Rain date: Sunday, May 16th) Big Hearts, Big Strides: The Walk for Carl Riccio and Chris Baldowski, sponsored by the All School Council. • Thursday, August 28th ~ Monday, September 1st Somerset Patriots Keep The Ball In Play for Carl! Carl Riccio Night at Commerce Bank Ballpark Saturday, August 9th was such a HIT, thanks to the Somerset Patriots for PITCHING in to continue to help raise funds for Carl's Trust. Ticket vouchers with the August 9th game date will continue to be sold at Warren Health & Racquet Club, Sports Minded Unlimited in Warren Twp. as well as on line at www.carlricciotrust.com. Any ticket voucher sold for $10.00 through September 1st at these outlets are redeemable for a ticket at the Patriots ticket office for any game played at Commerce Bank Ballpark beginning Thursday, August 28th through Monday, September 1st. All proceeds from the Aerobics Marathon, 9 am to 11 am; Basketball Clinic and Shoot-A-Round, 11 am -4 pm;(Speedy Morris, head basketball coach of St. Joe's Prep, Philadelphia and former head basketball coach Lasalle University, will be the guest clinician.) & Wrestling Clinic, 11 am - 2 pm(PA State Champ Shawn Scannell, former Rider University Wrestler Division I All-American, 8th in Nationals and other clinicians will be present) will go directly to The Carl Riccio Special Needs Trust.
