Carl, God Bless you! In 2003 my nephew then 23, was in a terrible accident trapped between 2 tractor trailer trucks. They thought his spinal chord was severed. Thankfully it was not. Last month he moved from my brothers home, to an assisted living environment, and is going back to college. He now has some feeling in his shoulders and hands, he is so excited he can go down to the store nearby in his chair and take money out of his wallet. There are no small achievments. I thank you for your work towards an end to no help for spinal chord injuries. You truly are an inspiration! Thank you again, and God Bless

Hi Carl. Hope you had a great birthday!! Did you catch the 60 minutes segment on stem cell research on Sunday? It was informative to people who don't understand the importance of this science, and how shameful it is that this country has been held back for so long. Everyone who knows you (and many who don't) is inspired by what you have done to help NJ move ahead despite the sad and foolish restrictions made by the Federal Gov. It will help so many people. On another note, there will be a new addition to the Springhorn family soon...(no, it's not what you think.. don't you have enough cousins already?) we will be getting a puppy in March. I hope we are as successful as Peter was. I heard his new dog is precious. I'll bring a picture to the next family get together. I hope to see you soon. Keep up those fabulous grades!

Just stumbled on your web site...was tremendously inspired. I am sensitive to your Mother and Dad's 9/14/2005 expressions. I'm primnary caregiver for our 96-year-old Mother (March 29) who suffered two major strokes. I've often thought it best that she had succumed at the time. But there is (Peter and Tricia) a God who knows best. Maybe Carl is the successful catalyst for the needed breakthrough. I may have just become a believer in stem cell research! Keep your aims high, your faith strong. God bless.

Hi Carl, You don't know me, but I came across your story a few years ago and wrote about you in a newspaper in Michigan. The link to that story still exists on your news & media link. I am thrilled to see that you are in college and doing well. I'm proud of you, and I don't even know you. By reading through the message board it is obvious that you are touching many lives with your attitude. You certainly have turned a terrible situation into something positive, and I hope you can take pride in that. And hey, how about that Villanova basketball team? What a great win against UConn! Anyway, I thought of you today and decided I needed to get back to the site and see how you are doing. I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. Good luck, and God bless, Chip Mundy cmundy@voyager.net

Hi Carl, I'm a fellow Villanovan (class of '03), and unfortunately the basketball team wasnt as exciting and good when I was there. Anyways, Ive been following your story since you met my boyfriend, Richard, at Kessler a few months back. He sustained a spinal cord injury in August. You, your entire family, and your entire network of friends are such an inspiration to me. I look forward to shadowing your mom in the near future in the fight for funding a cure. I am truly grateful to you because you have allowed so much to progress in the state of NJ for stem cell research (Richard and I are NJ residents as well). Have fun at Nova this semester and don’t study too much at Bartley! Love, Katie

Hey - I hope you are doing well both physically and mentally. I havn't posted in a long time as a result of work, school, and social life. I saw you on TV supporting Jon Corzine's campaign and also supporing stemcell research which in my opinion is a great idea and if they should pass the bill, it will be a hopefully a huge success. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Have a great time in college and I hope I can see you soon at an event in the area. Go With God and Stay Strong!
